What happens to an inquiry.

Information we collect

The inquiry form asks for your name, work email, company, company website, what you compare, and the kind of help you want. You may also provide a public comparison link, describe where the data lives, share a source format, or tell us about implementation constraints.

We record the time of submission, the form and notice versions, consent, the page and referring page associated with the request, and a reference identifier. We use short-lived, non-reversible rate-limiting keys to protect the form from abuse. We do not keep a raw IP address in the lead record.

What not to submit

Do not send passwords, API keys, private keys, tokens, customer records, regulated personal data, or sensitive files through the public form. If a suitable project needs files or system access, we will agree a separate secure method and purpose first.

Why we use the information

We use inquiry information to:

• review and respond to your request;
• understand whether Comparatably can support the comparison;
• avoid duplicate outreach and maintain a record of the conversation;
• protect the form and diagnose delivery failures;
• improve how we describe and prioritize our services.

Contact consent for an inquiry is not consent to receive an unrelated newsletter or advertising campaign.

Public websites and research

We may review publicly accessible pages on the company website you provide to understand the comparison and prepare useful follow-up questions. Public access is not treated as permission to republish the underlying information. Production work requires a separate, explicit agreement about sources, rights, security, and publication.

Where information is processed

We use service providers to host, secure, and operate the site and its structured inquiry records. Access is limited to people and systems that need it for those purposes. We do not sell inquiry information.

This site does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral analytics.

Retention

Inquiry submissions are assigned a 12-month review period. Expired inquiry details are removed from the active submission store unless a continuing conversation, customer relationship, legal obligation, or dispute requires a different record. Short-lived abuse-prevention counters expire sooner.

Your choices

You may ask to correct or delete an inquiry, withdraw contact consent, or ask what information is associated with it. Use the inquiry form, choose “Help us choose,” and begin the message with “Privacy request.” Include the work email and company website used in the original request so we can verify the record.
